Maybe the question should be how much $ do you spend per person in your family on groceries. Since a family of two will probably spend less then a family of seven.

Anyone know of good grocery price book software? I have a fairly elaborate spreadsheet I use to keep track of everything but I’d love some software that would track seasonal trends, etc.

This would be alot more meaningful if it included info on the family size.

I agree family size needs to be taken into account for this kind of poll. Also I purchase once a month, going back to the store weekly for bread, milk, produce. so that changes things as well. my “grocery” bill includes all paper products, cleaners, bathroom supplies laundry etc.

I agree with post 1, 3-4. I’m quite easily below $50 by myself, not counting the cat’s food bill. I think under $50 with the cats too, maybe.

not unless you are extremely frugal. There are folx who know how to spend 25-50 a month on grocery shopping with a big family.
