our family was growing- our extended family was getting bigger and bigger every year and we found ourselves buying gifts they didn’t need for people who really didn’t need em -when we all got together and discussed it we discovered they felt the sam so we made a family pact-our gifts each year -Birthday, Christmas, Wedding or any occasion would be limited to something we made or something we treasured- an opportunity to pass on family heirlooms, get really creative and give gifts that really meant something without melting the credit cards–family scrapbooks, fleece shirts and blankets, homemade treats–soooo much better than the flashy (and probably soon to be recalled) Made in China stuff we had been passing back and forth
