Here's an opportunity to do some free (or deeply discounted) Christmas shopping. The Limited has posted a printable coupon good for $15 off any purchase.

The offer is good through November 11, so there's plenty of time to nab a bargain--and you can be sure I'll be out to nab mine this weekend. Hello, free shopping spree!

You have some really neat ideas. I love the one with melting down broken crayons.
My daughter and I tried the ‘Rock Garden’ project and we both made some creative designs for our garden!
Thanks for the ideas. NK in ME

Buy from the local business owner. Stop wasting your money at big retailers!

Dave makes a valid point; however, this is not feasible for those of us who live in very small, rural towns. We have no retailers who sell clothing of this kind. For those of us who have NO CHOICE but to either make our own clothing or buy from the big retailers, these coupons that are offered will be a great deal! Thank you Frugal Living!

From what I understand, the Limited coupon cannot be used at Limited Too stores. Hope this helps.

Whenever possible I buy local. I buy food from the co-op, meat from the University ranch and my clothing comes from the thrift shops. There is nothing frugal about needing to spend $100 to “save” $30. That still means I would have spent an extra $70 when I actually got a sweater for $5 last week at the shop which employes and teaches developmentally disabled adults. How much were you paid for this promotion, anyway?

I also like to shop locally whenever I can, and buy a good portion of our food and all of our clothing that way (thrift store and yard sales). I agree that $30 off of $100 isn’t a fabulous deal (just 30 percent off), which is why I focused on the $15 off any purchase aspect off of the coupon. $15 off of $15–now that’s a great deal.

Also just to clarify: I have not and will not ever accept money for any of the offers that I mention.

Thank you!! $15 off $15 is a great deal, especially when trying to be frugal in the budget and get things for free. As for Dave, before you trash the big retailers or don’t like to buy from them, perhaps buy locally and not online; you are therefore then supporting the local hard-working employees (my family being one). Decreased sales unfortunately hurts these low-middle income people as then they decrease their hours as a result which impacts their families. So just shop the sales if you can’t reuse/rebuy from other areas.

What’s frugal about this?? How much did they mark up their merchandise?? Thanks, but no thanks. I’ll continue to go tho garage sales and thrift stores.
