Old Cell Phone = Free Amazon Gift Card

Wednesday October 15, 2008

Have an old cell phone or a pile of old cell phones just lying around? Then, trade them to Flip-Swap for an Amazon gift card. The process couldn't be easier.

You simply visit the site to find out what your phone is worth. Send it to them at the company's expense, and wait for your Amazon gift card to show up in your e-mail box. E-A-S-Y!

Could be just the thing to jump-start your Christmas shopping or to replenish an economy-ravaged bank account.

When I valued mine it said “Plant a Tree.” I have a pretty old phone, so I take that to mean it’s not worth anything and to go plant a tree instead of trying to recycle it. I’ll probably keep my phone until it dies or it becomes incompatible with the technology.

Yes, getting an Amazon gift card would be nice, but so many organizations collect old cell phones. I know the kid’s school collects them as a fundraiser for the PTA. Sometimes it’s better to support an organization that yourself.
