Get into National Parks Free

Friday June 26, 2009

Planning to visit a national park this summer? Then you may want to do it on one of the weekends that you can get in free. On July 18-19 and August 15-16 more than 147 national parks will be waiving their entrance fee (a savings of $3 to $25).

Donna Montaldo, our Guide to Coupons/Bargains has a complete list of participating parks:

Senior Pass — Also, in case you didn’t know, Seniors (age 62 and over) can buy a National Park pass for a one-time charge of $10 for a lifetime pass. The pass provides access to National Parks that charge an Entrance fee – it admits the pass holder and up to 3 other adults for free! It also gives a 50% discount on some other amenities(just for the cardholder). Check out the website for more information –http://www.nps.gov/fees_passes.htm
