Do You Use Rain Barrels?

By , About.com Guide   July 10, 2009

Follow me on:

As the rain pours down outside, I am reminded once again that I could be collecting rain water, if only I had a few rain barrels.

Looks like it's time to double up on my savings efforts, so I can get those barrels off of my wish list and into my yard.

You know as much as I would like to use a rain barrel in this day and age with all the smog, fog and pesticides and even worse that we are all forced to be sharing our planet with, I would hesitate at this stage to even use one, unless if things were to change and our planet become a lot healthier to enable us to use them and yet still feel safe.

Well, who knows maybe there is a safe way to use them. If anyone out there knows the best and safest method possible for us to use and make better use of rain barrels I hope you’ll soon post it here. Cause I for 1 would like to read it> Thanks and take care

I wouldn’t be concerned about using rainwater collected in a rain barrel. It’s the same rain that currently waters our plants and gardens. And it’s the same rain that falls on the crops we eat.
