I'm not one to pay for things that I can get for free (shampoo, toothpaste, the list goes on and on), which is why I was thrilled to learn that Gmail is now offering free long distance calls. Just download the plugin, and you're good to go.

Thanks for the link! The other links that I have found in recent days are skype which has free web phone and oovoo (yes, oovoo), where you can speak to up to six people at once (I tried it, and it really works!)! I’ve told my frugal parents who have no long distance despite making over 100k/yr. and being debt free, and they will be shelling out the 10-20 bucks to buy a web cam. I love it all!
