This time of year lots of people are unloading unwanted gift cards on websites like Plastic Jungle. That's great news, if you're a bargain hunter.
Take a few minutes to set up notification requests for all your favorite stores, and you'll be among the first to know when new cards become available. I have notifications set up for Kroger, Walgreens, CVS, Target and a handful of other stores that I shop at regularly. Can't wait to get my hands on some discounted gift cards.

You just know about the coolest sites!
I’ve used Plastic Jungle twice now after reading about it on your blog. I love it! The first card I got was a LL Bean card and I combine the discounted gift card with their free shipping offer to save more. I just picked up a Target gift card and while the discount wasn’t special (3%), it is still something. Plastic Jungle takes about 1 week to process and ship you card for free. I’m happy. I’d use them again.
1st time looking at this site. Is it too good to be true
)
If I am going to shop there anyway why wouldn’t I want free money.
When I go to silent auctions I always bid on gift cards at places I shop even if it is $2.00 less that is like a free $2.00.
I put alerts on several company’s I frequent. I’m anxious to get a deal!
Thank for another good tip.
Keep in mind that Target I believe had a 5% back debit card and other stores or even a flat 1% cash back could make the difference not worth it or break even and having to go through the trouble of getting the GC and waiting for it, and then remembering to use it.
I have been visiting Plastic Jungle for about 7 months. It is a great site and I have my alerts set for everywhere I shop frequently. I was thinking it would be good to wait until after Christmas when gift cards were sold to the site. I was wondering when the best time to check would be. Thanks for the reminder. I am on a no spend month but I might have to break that to get whatever savings I can. I think that is good frugality.
