Dry shampoo has become a popular time-saver, but have you ever priced it? Youch!. Learn how to make your own dry shampoo at home, and you won't have to pay for convenience.
Time Required: 5 minutes or less
What You Need:
- baking soda, corn starch, corn meal, flour or ground oatmeal
- A hair brush
- Essential Oils (optional)
Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda, corn starch, corn meal, flour or ground oatmeal in your hair (whichever one you happen to have handy).
Use your fingers to work it into your scalp.
Brush your hair to remove the powder, and all of the dirt and oil will come with it!
Why This Works: The dry shampoo absorbs all those nasties that you don't want in your hair.
- Prefer a scented dry shampoo? Try adding a few drops of essential oil to the recipe. (Just be sure to label the container that you store your shampoo in. You wouldn't want any accidental ingestions).
- Like to use dry shampoo on a regular basis? Fill a shaker, and keep it in the bathroom.
