Your Favorite Source for Bargains:

Goodwill Super Centers are a definite source for bargains for just about anything, but I use it mostly for my clothes. I have found top designer clothing there for a fraction of the price of buying it new. Most clothing is about $4.75 per item, and they offer half-price discounts on Midnight Madness days. I also love the print circulars that come in the mail – I save them; and use them along with glass cleaner to clean all the glass in my home. They work great – and they're free. ALDI'S is my go-to source for bargain groceries. I have been shopping there for years. They do not have a huge selection, but you cannot beat their prices. Right now I can buy four pounds of ground beef for UNDER $4.00 total! I also shop CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens for their clearance and sale items.

Your Best Bargain of All Times:

I don't know if it was my "best" bargain of all time, but I bought Christmas cards at the dollar store last year after Christmas. They were reduced to 50 cents per box. I will use them this Christmas. I also purchased a pair of LL Bean cord pants at Goodwill. New they cost $ 40.00; I got them for $4.75.

Your Best Money-Saving Tip:

I budget my money for two weeks at a time, since I get paid every other week. After basic bills are paid, I budget how much I will spend for groceries, gasoline and other miscellaneous expenses. I put that exact amount (in CASH) in an envelope for each category. When it's gone, it's gone.

The Craziest Thing You Do to Save Money:

Instead of throwing out something that is broken, I try to fix it with Krazy Glue. This worked great on my daughter's school shoes – and it saved me from buying her another pair.

What You're Doing Now to Save:

I'm bringing my lunch to work and making my son's lunch for school; cooking almost all meals at home (with only an occasional meal out); making birthday cakes, instead of buying them at the store and using the pool at my apartment complex, game nights and cheap/free movie rentals to keep my family entertained. Also, since I love to read, I'm borrowing several books per month from the library.
