Name:
Adriana from Florida
Your Favorite Source for Bargains:
I have swap parties with friends everything from clothing to furniture. We avoid filling the landfills with more junk, and we get to enjoy the life of an item much longer. It's a win-win.
Your Best Bargain of All Times:
There are just too many to list. Some of my best freebies include: an $1800 stationary bike, a $3000 living room set (only a year old) and two gorgeous bulldogs worth $3000 each. I kid you not the list is ENDLESS. Swap with friends; don't be shy. You won't believe the beauties you receive!
Your Best Money-Saving Tips:
- Don't carry more than $50 with you at a time. No credit cards. No debit cards. No checkbooks
- Recycle; reuse; buy used; fix things up; share
The Worst Advice You've Ever Received:
Just use paper plates and throw them out; it saves you time. Sure it does, but it also wastes money and puts shame on our environment and landfills.
The Craziest Thing You Do to Save Money:
I pay for things in bills never spare change. If something is 25 cents, I pay for it with a dollar. Why? Because the change is never used, but put in a big water jug in my house. At the end of the year I take the change to the bank and trade it for bills. Last year I walked out with almost $1500, and I bought myself a GORGEOUS bedroom set. I never even missed the change!
What You're Doing Now to Save:
I take out money to save, just like I take out money to pay my monthly debts.
