Your Favorite Source for Bargains:

I have swap parties with friends – everything from clothing to furniture. We avoid filling the landfills with more junk, and we get to enjoy the life of an item much longer. It's a win-win.

Your Best Bargain of All Times:

There are just too many to list. Some of my best freebies include: an $1800 stationary bike, a $3000 living room set (only a year old) and two gorgeous bulldogs worth $3000 each. I kid you not – the list is ENDLESS. Swap with friends; don't be shy. You won't believe the beauties you receive!

Your Best Money-Saving Tips:

  • Don't carry more than $50 with you at a time. No credit cards. No debit cards. No checkbooks
  • Recycle; reuse; buy used; fix things up; share

The Worst Advice You've Ever Received:

Just use paper plates and throw them out; it saves you time. Sure it does, but it also wastes money and puts shame on our environment and landfills.

The Craziest Thing You Do to Save Money:

I pay for things in bills – never spare change. If something is 25 cents, I pay for it with a dollar. Why? Because the change is never used, but put in a big water jug in my house. At the end of the year I take the change to the bank and trade it for bills. Last year I walked out with almost $1500, and I bought myself a GORGEOUS bedroom set. I never even missed the change!

What You're Doing Now to Save:

I take out money to save, just like I take out money to pay my monthly debts.
