Your Favorite Source for Bargains:

Garage Sales

Your Best Bargain of All Time:

10 cases of beef jerky. I went dumpster diving at a store that was going out of business, and sold all but one case to family and friends for $25 a case.

Your Best Money-Saving Tip:

Pay your bills on time. Late fees are a pain.

The Worst Money-Saving Advice You've Ever Received:

Put your savings in stocks.

The Craziest Thing You Do to Save Money:

I make my own laundry detergent. Hang my laundry (weather permitting). Wash out baggies. Use dog food bags for trash liners. Plan meals around the sales, and use meat as a condiment. I always stock my freezer with sale purchases. I keep a steady supply of muffins handy for the kids to grab when they come home from school, which I make with over-ripe bananas that I get cheap from our local grocery store or with zucchini from our garden. We have chickens that supply our eggs. I buy bread at the local day-old bakery store, and I make all of the specialty breads that we need.

What You're Doing Right Now to Save Money:

Right now, I'm shopping around for the best bargain on a mattress and box spring set. Always compare prices. I have done this without driving all over town by using the Internet and phone.
