Name:
Rachel from Washington
Your Favorite Source for Bargains:
Grocery Outlet has awesome prices on fancy cosmetics and organic shampoos and toiletries. When the season is right the farmers market is a cool place to get fresh organic produce while supporting the local economy.
Your Best Bargain of All Time:
Anything free! Someone's trash could be my treasure.
Your Best Money-Saving Tip:
Make it yourself! Bread is so much cheaper, if you just make it yourself. Laundry detergent is super cheap to make too. Use your clothesline! I saved $15 a month on my power bill! And walk anywhere you can to avoid using gas on short trips.
The Worst Money-Saving Advice You've Ever Received:
Only buy generic. Some things are too yucky and never get used because they are awful.
The Craziest Thing You Do to Save Money:
I wash dishes by hand – even though I have a dishwasher!
What You're Doing Right Now to Save:

Driving old vehicles, packing everyone's lunches, never eating out, planting a huge garden and bartering with neighbors.
