How to Make Envelopes

Like to make your own cards to save money? Learn how to make your own envelopes, and you'll save even more.

Difficulty: Easy

Time Required: 5 minutes per envelope or less

Here's How:

  1. Print the envelope template:

  2. Cut out the template, following the solid line.

  3. Trace the template onto your paper of choice.

  4. Fold Flap A and B in at the dotted line.

  5. Fold Flap C up at the dotted line. It will overlap Flap A and B slightly.

  6. Apply a thin line of glue to the bottom edge of Flap A and B to hold Flap C in place.

  7. Fold Flap D down at the dotted line, and your envelope is complete!


  1. Old magazine and calendar pages make great envelopes.
  2. Need a different size envelope? Just take a sample envelope apart at the seams, and use it as your template.
