What I Did:
One of my best yard sale finds was a food dehydrator. Not only is it in near-constant use during much of the growing season, but I also have fond memories of its former owner who died a couple months ago.
How I Did It:
After running one of my own garage sales, I refuse to haggle over prices. I either offer what it's worth to me, pay the stickered price or wait until the end of the sale when everything is marked down.
Lessons Learned:
- I prefer multi-family or organizations' sales, because there's so much stuff to examine at one time.
