What I Did:
A Victorian castor set, which is a silver-plated holder with a center handle and holes for various condiment jars. They're usually etched with a pretty design.
Some hold oil and vinegar for salads. Others might have a jar for mustard, or they could have a place for salt and pepper shakers. Usually, they come with four or five glass containers.
How I Did It:
$10. Today, in antique stores, castor sets can easily sell for $100 and up. You'd think I had to have found my set 30 years ago to get this price, but it was actually just four years ago. I got a great deal.
Lessons Learned:
- Be the first one there. That's how I got my castor set. I am surprised at how few people do this
