Guess I've Lived TOO long to complain
- You know I can recall times...many times as a child growing up in a family of 7 that there were many times that ALL we had to eat was pinto beans and bread or just gravy and bread. Vegetables weren't always available and I didn't know what asparagus was until I was an adult. I believe that TOO many folks are spoiled and do not what it means to 'cherish' a good meal...I used AFM food and I am very grateful. I have been out of work for nearly a year and I have been known to only one meal--two at the most during one day because I had no choice because my other bills had to be paid and I live very well within my means...no credit cards or expensive living for me. I have eat very well for the last month on AFM food and I just picked up my box for March today and I was thrilled. Over the last month, I have lost 5 lbs because my metabolism begin to pick because I was eating more nutritious food than before...no eating out for me...not when I can cook most anything I want.

Angel Food
- Hey I have been with Angel Food for close to one year and I have never had a problem. I LOVE IT!

Disappointed
- I have tried AF for 3 months. Gristle, fat, such small pieces of meat you cannot identify. Bacon smells rancid, and tastes as bad. Pork riblets ... where was the meat? It was all small pieces of bone. Pork Chops same thing; just pieces of bone with small pieces of meat. Breaded chicken inconsistent sizes and too spicy...and I like spice. Broccoli, cauliflower and red pepper ...who knows what that was ... maybe the scrapings off the table after chopping the veggies. The Sr.Meals ... definitely below standard, and not very tasty. Chicken Breast(?) Bacon wrapped "LEAN" ground beef patties...sas it even ground meat. The bacon smelled when you cooked the patty. Thick cut pork chops ... 1/2 inch is thick(?) and again what meat was this? I'M glad I tried and got this out of my system, but no thank you. I will do much better with beans, chicken quarters, ground meat of a good quality...God bless you for your efforts..but please, be honest with people.

Not as much food as before
- I have bought AF food boxes for over 2 years and it use to be a good deal, but within the last couple of months the amount of food you received has been cut. I volunteer and help pack the boxes and you can definitely tell there is less food in each box since we use the same size box every time. We compared the cost of 1 box you receive now at a grocery store and found you save $10 by buying AF not the $30 they claim. Personally, I won't buy it again, nonprofit is not meant to line the pockets of owner.

This is Great
- I have use this for a couple of months now and my church is a host site. I can't tell you how many people love it and are happy that my church is doing it.

grateful
- I have been buying Angel Food boxes for several years. I find the quality has gotten better over the years, not worse. As far as the recent "scandal" is concerned, I contacted the coordinator at my host site. She forwarded a message from Angel Food that explained the foundation of the issue -- and what we hear from news reports doesn't tell it all. Even the Bible says that hearing only one side of the story is like not hearing anything at all. Always check both sides, and don't believe only your first report. The food boxes have been a wonderful savings, especially this year when my work hours have been cut. No, it's not always what I would prefer, but they have introduced me to new items through the years. They work hard to contract with companies across the country to provide healthy, low-cost foods for their clients.

Awesome!
- We have been a host site for a year now and aside from our personal savings each we see how this ministry has helped families throughout our community. What a blessing it has been to take part of this awesome vision!

Angle Food Ministries
- The foods were ok. Not sure the grocery store wouldn't be less expensive. HOWEVER I will NOT buy from them as the FBI raided board members for defrauding the ministry for millions.

A needed and worthwhile help
- I would recommend AFM to anyone wanting to supplement their monthly food costs. For those with elite taste, I suppose they are able and willing to spend more.. God Bless them. The quality of food is not substandard.. I have been fortunate in my younger years to have had the BEST, when money was no object. Why do some folks have to find fault with a "gift and the giver'??

slowpoke
- I have been buying from Angel Foods for about 6 months now,and find the food to be as good as,or better than I can get in my grocery store.Im able to keep my freezer full of great meat now,and when they put something in the box that I dont personally like, I give it to friends that do like it. I have told many of my friends about it, and their first reply is that they dont want bent cans or out of date food,so I invite them over, show them the food and they want to know where they can get it too.

It helps mostly
- We use it off and on, but more on lately. It serves us only as an addition to quick meals for the kids when they are home on the weekends. I am a diabetic with cancer and cannot eat anything in the menu, but it saves us the money to get the items that I need to live on.

Thank God
- I thank God for angel food ministries. I lost my job because I became disabled over time and could not continue working any more. I am 10 years away from full retirement age. I am waiting for social security disablity. My husband gets social secrity diablity. $750 a month. Many times we cant buy enough food to eat. We are not elegible for SSI or food stamps because we have a truck and my husband makes too much money with his disability check. We found out about angel food minestries. It has been a blessing in our lives. WE think the food is good and we are grateful for any help we can get. We get 2 boxes a month and 1 special box when we can afford it. The special box we get is vegies and fruit. You do not have to take the steaks if you dont want them. We appriciate from the bottom of our hearts that this program exists. We are very grateful. I hope the ministry continues after the scandel.

Not Name Brand - Better than nothing.
- My family has been getting boxes along with their fresh fruit and veggies box. I must say, it has been heaven sent. Without angelfood once monthly, my family of four would go hungry. I thank everyone who helps the ministry provide thousands of families with a meal. Once again....thank you and God Bless.

mominde
- I have been getting angel food boxes for about a year. As a single parent, the boxes are a blessing. No, I don't always like everything in them, but my family and I find other uses for them. The meats are easy to throw in the crock pot and the entrees are great for those nights when it is a rush to put dinner together. The fresh fruits and veggies are great also. I have shared this ministry with others and they continue to return. For those who can't use everything- just remember- one size does not fit all!

Yeah for Angel Food Ministries
- I think that it is a great gift from God that the Wingos would give of their time and money to help make sure that people can afford to eat at a discounted price.
