Two Free After Rebate Finds
Could rebates be making a comeback? Yesterday's shopping trip gives me hope. I spotted two great free after rebate items in stores that you might want to take advantage of.
Rebate #1
Kellogg's is offering a free trial of their Smart Start Strawberry Oat Bites cereal (the 14.7 oz box). Just buy a specially marked package; and mail in your receipt and UPC, along with the rebate form printed on the inside of the box.
Rebate #2
Arm & Hammer is offering a free trial of one of their Essentials Cleaners Starter Kits (there are three to choose from). Just purchase the item; and mail in your receipt, along with the rebate form to receive your refund.
A note on this one: At the store I visited, the display was out of rebate forms. If you run into the same situation, you can print a copy of the rebate here:

Kellogg’s is also offering the same deal with their Blueberry Muffin Mini Wheats.
You can also get tons of free after rebate items at Walgreens and Rite Aid–it is an easy on-line form no mailing necessary. You can see all this weeks deals on the main page of my site http://www.SwapSavers.com/
Has anyone actually collected on a rebate? I used to send off for them on everything, but I Always received a form letter saying I was missing something, and have Never received check from any company. If I can’t afford the stated price, I just don’t buy it.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Joni–I think that is a great question. I have collected on main-in rebates before and yes maybe 2-3 times I have had issues with rebates before and I ALWAYS call to find out the problem and have then been issued the check. If you are not issued the check you should call and complain and return the product to the store if possible.
Have you tried the free after rebates from RiteAid? I have been accumulating items for 3 weeks now, and it’s great!

I got into the habit of buying too many things on rebate, usually more gadgets than I needed… but NEVER had one refused.
the only problem is that the majority of the companies want the original recipt-so if you want the rebate you will have to stand in line till the cows come home making the single transactions-does anyone have any ideas how to overcome that ?
ann, I just ask the cashier to ring up my items separately. I’ve never had a problem.
As for this rebate, it says we cannot use copies of the form. Wouldn’t this printed out rebate form off our computers be considered a copy?
